I just want to give a shout out to a poet I’ve been following and reading for a while now. She’s an LGBT poet, but, like me, she covers a wide range of issues and often incorporates “place” into her poetry, which is something you all know I love as well. Her word choice, imagery and symbolism is powerful stuff and she is beyond a doubt one of the greatest poets I’ve stumbled upon in the blogosphere. I hope you’ll give her a chance by visiting her site; I promise it’s time well spent…
Visit her here and, if you like her stuff, please share with others.

I noticed but never mentioned that two of my poems were published separately on Poets Who Blog. I’d like to give them a proper shout out.
Transcendance was published on April 16 as a part of National Poetry Month. Baltimore was published on March 17 as a part of their creative Jigsaw competition.

This piece was inspired by the website, Six Sentences. Have you ever tried it? Check it out here: http://sixsentences.blogspot.com. It’s addictive, and it’s fun. Give it a try! Now, here’s my first attempt.
UPDATE: It was published. You can click on this link to read it, as well as other six sentences of great artwork.
